Eight spots, ranked by bid. At the close, rank 1 takes spot 1 and so on down. Outbid someone and they drop a rank, or below the line — they are never charged.

03 · How it works

How it works

Same mechanism as halalbid.lol, one cycle every 14 days instead of every day, and a physical thing at the end of it.

Bid on the bag

Minimum €15, steps of €1. Stripe saves your card — no hold, no charge. Bids are public and ranked live.

20:00 Paris, ranks lock

The eight highest bids take the eight spots. A hold is placed on each winner's card. Everyone else's card is forgotten: they were never charged.

Your sticker rides Paris

I print the logos, put them on within about a week, photograph the bag, and only then capture the holds. The stickers ride until the next winners' arrive.

Questions

Yes. The bag is a Xiaomi Commuter Backpack, light blue, €29.99 at mi.com. I carry it every working day in Paris. The auction runs on the same code as halalbid.lol, which has taken real bids since it launched.

A die-cut vinyl sticker of your logo on the spot your rank won, riding the bag for at least 14 days, plus one photo of the bag on this page with your link under it. Your name stays on this page after the cycle ends.

Card only, through Stripe. Placing a bid saves your card and takes nothing. If you win, a hold for your bid is placed at the close and captured once the stickers are on the bag and photographed; Stripe emails you the receipt then, the only message bidding here sends. If you lose, your card is simply forgotten — nothing was ever held, so there is nothing to give back.

Because you should pay for a thing that exists. A rental for a defined time at a known price, delivered before it is paid. It is the same reason halalbid.lol never charges the loser.

You drop one rank. Eight spots, so the ninth bid is below the line and off the bag. Either way you pay €0. You can raise your bid until the close; a higher bid from the same product replaces the lower one.

No. Same filter as halalbid.lol: no gambling, alcohol, interest-based finance, adult content, or products I cannot vet. A rejected bid costs €0 — the card is forgotten and the site never appears on the board. No message is sent either way: the board is where you look.

A laptop lid faces a wall in a café. A bag faces the whole métro carriage, twice a day, on the busiest line in Paris. And it cost €29.99.

Vinyl takes a few days to print and post, and a sticker that changes every week is a sticker nobody has time to notice. Two weeks is long enough to be seen and short enough to keep the auction interesting. If nobody outbids the spot next cycle, the sticker stays on for free.
