You bid on the bag. The rank picks the spot.

Eight sticker spots, one auction every fourteen days, and a card that is saved rather than charged. Here is the whole mechanism, in the order it happens to you.

The eight spots

The front of the bag has eight places for a sticker, numbered by how visible they are. Rank 1 takes spot 1, rank 8 takes spot 8.

Nobody bids on a spot. Picking a zone on the home page only presets an amount — the one that would take that zone if the auction closed now.

The 14-day cycle

  1. A cycle is fourteen days. It closes on a Sunday at 20:00, Paris time, and the next one closes fourteen days later, same hour.
  2. Two cycles exist at any moment: the one on the bag, whose stickers are riding, and the one taking bids. Every bid you place is for the next cycle. The stickers already on the bag cannot be outbid — that is what they paid for.
  3. At the close, the bids are ranked by amount, highest first; equal amounts by who bid first. Rank 1 to 8 take spots 1 to 8. Rank 9 onwards is off the bag this time, at no cost — unless a winner’s card is declined at the close, in which case the next bid below the line is promoted into that rank.

Bidding

  1. Bids are in whole euros: minimum €15, in steps of €1. Euros only.
  2. Taking a rank costs €1 more than the bid holding it. Bidding less does not lock you out: you are placed at the rank your amount allows.
  3. One live bid per site. Bid again, higher, and the new bid replaces the old one — the old card is forgotten, nothing was ever on it.
  4. A new site is looked at by hand before its bid can win anything. A bid on a site still waiting for that look at the close takes no rank, and costs nothing.

Your card, and when it is charged

  1. Placing a bid opens Stripe, which saves your card. Nothing is held on it and nothing is charged. It is a card on file, not a payment.
  2. At the close, if your bid won a spot, a hold for your amount is placed on that card. Still nothing charged.
  3. When the stickers are on the bag and the photo is up — within about seven days of the close — the holds are captured. That is the one moment money moves, and by then you can see what you paid for. Stripe emails you the receipt at that moment — the only message bidding here produces. Everything else you learn from the live table.
  4. If your bid did not win, or the site was not approved, the card is simply forgotten. There was no hold to release and nothing to give back.

Released is not refunded. A refund gives back money that was taken. A losing bid here is never taken in the first place — your bank statement never sees it.

Carry-over

A rank nobody bid on stays with whoever held it last cycle, free. Nothing is charged for it and nothing can be — there is no bid behind it. Those rows say Holding over — free on the home page instead of an amount, because no amount was paid. The sticker just stays on until someone bids the rank away.

After the close

Sunday 20:00Auction closes. Ranks lock, holds placed. The board shows the eight winners.
MondayStickers ordered — die-cut vinyl, printed from your logo.
Within ~7 daysStickers on the bag, one photo of the bag published, holds captured.
At least 14 daysYour sticker rides until the next winners’ stickers arrive.
  1. Your logo is printed as a die-cut vinyl sticker at the size of your spot. Send a clean logo; a screenshot of a favicon prints like one.
  2. One photo of the bag per cycle, published on the home page under “On the bag now” and kept under “Previously on the bag” with your link. That photo is when you are charged.
  3. The sticker stays on until the next cycle’s stickers go on — never less than fourteen days, usually a few more.

What I refuse

Same filter as halalbid.lol. A bid from any of these is released — the card is forgotten and the site never reaches the board:

  • Gambling, betting, lotteries.
  • Alcohol.
  • Interest-based finance (riba): lending, credit cards, most trading apps.
  • Adult content, dating, anything immodest.
  • Sites I cannot verify: no product, a fake landing page, a misleading redirect.

It is my bag, so the last word on what goes on it is mine. There is no message when a site is turned down — the card is forgotten and the board simply never lists it. Being turned down costs you nothing.

Pulling a sticker

  1. If a site changes nature mid-cycle — the product turns into one of the things above, or the link starts going somewhere else — I peel the sticker off.
  2. If it had been charged, the time it did not get is refunded pro rata over the fourteen days, down to the hour it came off. That is an obligation under the rental, not a gesture.
  3. Only money that was captured can be refunded, because it is the only money that exists. A pulled sticker that had not been charged yet is simply not charged.
